How you can bring your song to life. Bespoke songwriting by James Grant.
“Everyone has a song in them,” says James Grant, one of the UK’s greatest songwriters.
As a tutor in songwriting, he’s helped scores of people put their thoughts and feelings into music – from primary school kids to older folk, to students at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
Now James can help you write your song.
’Songwriting at it’s zenith.’ Mojo magazine
James has worked with some of the biggest names in music. Producers such as Gary Katz of Steely Dan and Tom Dowd (who produced Rod Stewart, Eric Clapton and Aretha Franklin). He’s performed or toured with some of the best in the business: U2, BB King, Tina Turner, Steely Dan, Pete Seeger and The Prague Philharmonic.
He’s also been working with people for years, teaching and helping them to write their songs.
Your song could be about someone, for someone… It could be a gift, or just a treat for yourself.
It could be about anything, or for no reason other than the experience of doing it.
You don’t even need to have an idea already. James’ unique process helps you discover the song you want to write.
You don’t need any particular musical ability either. James will help you shape a song you can share, and be proud of.
How it works
You simply tell James what you want, lyrically or musically, with any ideas or feelings you want to express.
James will help you bring your ideas to life.
You’ll work with James back and forth until your song finds its perfect form.
James will then produce and record your song.
You’ll receive your song digitally as an mp3 – plus the lyrics handwritten by James.
The recording will belong to you.
If you want a full ’band’ production – even with the Prague Philarmonic – this would be costed separately.
